Culinary Educators
If you have experience cooking and teaching, we’d love to have you on our team! We ask you commit to at least one session (generally 8 weeks-classes are held once a week.) It is possible to teach more than one class in a session. Culinary Educators are paid, rate determined by experience. We provide you with recipes, lesson plans and all the ingredients. You bring your passion for cooking and patience for working with kids!
Teen Culinary Internship
Our new Teen Culinary Internship is an exciting opportunity for high school students to earn their required volunteer hours while learning the ins and outs of Culinary skills and educational applications in our A to Z Cooking Classes. Interns can choose to further their volunteer hours toward the CA Community Service Excellence Award and have the opportunity to transition into a paid internship.
Volunteers
Our classes cannot happen without our awesome volunteers! You don’t need cooking experience to volunteer with us, you can learn alongside our students. What you need to have is patience for working with kids and the ability to recognize what needs to be done in a given moment-whether it is corralling kids, creating a game, dashing to the ktichen for extra supplies or just guiding mealtime discussion. We are looking for volunteers to commit to a weekly 90 minute class, one time per week. If this works for your schedule, please fill out our form!
